I’m a passion-driven language tutor who believes learning is a continuous process of learning, unlearning, and relearning. I love connecting with people and exploring culture, which naturally shapes how I teach.
I hold a degree in International Relations (minor in Criminal Justice) and teach on italki part-time out of my love for languages and cultural exchange.
I love to humanize the learning process by using day to day examples so that the student is able to relate with the discussions.
Since the true goal of learning a language is communication, my classes are lively and interactive, with a focus on speaking and listening skills. However, this does not imply that you do not need to study grammatical rules, or that I will not explain grammar ideas to you in English if necessary. I aim to incorporate issues that are relevant to my students' daily lives. I use my own content, as well as songs and snippets. I feel that humour and consistency are the keys to learning a language.
