Professional teacher with more than 10 years of experience Hi! I’m Alessandra, and I’m originally from Treviglio, a nice town between Bergamo and Milan. After earning a degree in Communication Sciences and a master's degree in Social Sciences, I worked for a few years in a research center in Milan. I started teaching Italian in South America, where I lived for more than 10 years. We came back to Italy in 2022, and although my home is near Bergamo, I spend most of the year in Sicily. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience, especially with American English speakers. I love teaching students of all levels, but my focus is on those who already have an intermediate or advanced level and want to improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, or fluency. My degree in Communication and my master's in Sociology gave me the skills to help you not only learn the language but also communicate effectively about a wide variety of topics. I don't think there's a one-size-fits-all method. I'm ready to listen to the students' needs and adapt to their goals. I love following a book, but I also design personalized lessons using appropriate materials. With more advanced students, I also read novels. Regardless of the level, I always try to place a strong emphasis on oral communication. I encourage you to read what other students say about me by reviewing my page. You can also email me or book a trial lesson with me for any other questions.

This was another terrific lesson with Alessandra. Working with Alessandra has been the most productive and enjoyable way to improve my Italian of any method that I have used so far.

È un’insegnante molto scrupolosa e preparata. Mi ha dato ottimi consigli e, dopo la lezione, mi ha inviato tempestivamente tutti i materiali. Abbiamo anche avuto una discussione approfondita sul mio percorso di studi, che è stata davvero stimolante. È un’ottima insegnante e, inoltre, ha un sorriso bellissimo!😊

Alessandra is helping me with conversation practice before an upcoming vacation. She is very supportive and encouraging, patiently listening to me fumble for words and gently correcting my mistakes. I know that I will be more comfortable speaking with locals during our trip thanks to my lessons with her.
