Hello everyone.
My name is Alex and I teach English on italki.
I was born and raised in America to Taiwanese parents so I have experience in growing up with an immigrant family.
In addition, I have taught English when I lived in Korea for five years, Thus, I can relate to the struggles of learning a new language. I am currently studying Korean on italki by the way.
During my time in Korea, I taught English to young students as well as adults.
Like many people here, I like to travel and I like this platform because it's a good way to meet people from all over the world despite being under lockdown.Me as a Teacher
What can I do for you?
Well, I can practice English conversation with you. We can talk about whatever topics that interest you.
We can talk about serious or causal topics.
For example, I have been working for various companies and online businesses in the past few years so we can practice English in a business setting.
But we can also talk about casual topics like travel, cultural differences, etc. I notice a lot of people here are digital nomads and travelers so the good news is that I have a lot of stories relating to these topics. We can share these stories together.

I should mention that this is mainly just free talking and conversation practice. I am not yet an expert in all the rules of English grammar. But I can type out corrections on what you said during the class so you have some notes to review.My teaching material
