Certified Teacher who is in love with her job My name is Marina. I was born and raised in Russia but started traveling around the world at the age of 18. Since then I have lived and worked in quite a number of countries. For the last 17 years (except for the 2 years that I spent in Victoria BC, Canada and a year in Mauritius) I've been living in different parts of Turkey. Teaching is my passion and I would love to share what I know with others. There is nothing better than speaking to your student in a new language after some time! I am a native Russian speaker. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics. I obtained several certificates of English during my studies, a TEFL certificate from the University of Toronto, and a “Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language” diploma from Moscow State University. I started teaching in 2001 and since then I have taught English, Russian and Turkish in Primary, Middle School, Language Courses and also in private. Communication is the key. So after an introduction of a piece of grammar of new words we will use it all in speaking activities. I believe that the main task of a teacher is helping the student overcome his or her fear and start talking. Making mistakes at first, but getting better and better every day. Through smiles, encouragement, games and, let's face the truth, hard work - I will help you gain more confidence and let the world hear your voice in the desired language.
