Hello! My name is Olga and I am from the city of Barcelona, although I live in the beautiful region of Andalusia, the birthplace of flamenco. I am a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE), certified by the Antonio de Nebrija University, in Madrid, and I have several years of experience teaching Spanish in face-to-face classes, on the island of Mallorca (Spain), where many foreigners live, and in the city of Berlin (Germany), where I lived for a while. I also have a YouTube channel where I teach Spanish.
I am specialized in teaching Spanish for beginners (A1-A2), and also for people starting from scratch (although of course my students can continue with me when they level up).Me as a Teacher
For students who still don't understand Spanish at all or very little, I start giving classes in English, French or Italian, depending on their mother tongue.
I firmly believe that the teacher has to know the language of the students or at least a language that the students speak well, to understand the specific difficulties they will have in adapting to the new language. That’s why I’m able to progressively move from the use of the student’s language to the use of Spanish, but little by little, giving the pupil a solid base so that they have a firm foundation and know how to construct sentences correctly, always understanding why they are formed in one way or another.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching is with my own method and notes created entirely by me and consists of building a very solid foundation by practicing a lot with oral and written exercises every time the student learns something new. I teach grammar, spelling, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening comprehension and oral expression.
After each class I give the students a schematic summary of everything they have just learned, including a list with the new vocabulary, sometimes audio files to practice pronunciation, worksheets..., as well as exercises to practice at home if the students like.
