*** About Me *** ⭐ Qualifications: I have been teaching Japanese professionally for over 5 years and hold qualifications such as a guide interpreter license, TOEIC 935, and EIKEN Grade 1. 🔥 Business Experience: With decades of experience in trading and shipping companies, I have broad business expertise in both Japanese and English. 🌏 Travel Experience: As a globetrotter, I have traveled to over 60 countries. Now, I enjoy exploring the Japanese countryside, especially nature and hot springs. 💖 Personality: Having worked in the hospitality industry, I have always considered myself a sociable person who communicates well with others. *** My Lessons & Teaching Style *** 🍎 Beginner Lessons: I can teach Japanese to complete beginners in English. I use introductory textbooks, but I also use conversation-based materials for those planning to visit Japan who are less focused on grammar. 🥝 Speaking Practice: To improve speaking skills, I encourage you to speak more during our lessons. You can choose familiar topics, or we can read easy news articles together. Other activities are also available. 🍊 Advanced & Business: I teach business Japanese (Keigo), email writing, reading various materials, and job interview preparation. I can also send you regular news articles each week so you can choose one or two and share a summary and your thoughts with me.

Yoshi's Easy Japanese for Travelling course was excellent preparation for my trip to Japan; it included loads of helpful vocabulary and basic grammar which were relevant for day to day interactions. The tools he provided were also very useful as a reference, which I could refer back to. He also teaches these materials in a fun & easy going manner. Highly recommended for this travelling to Japan soon!

Yoshi sensei’s grammar lesson is very helpful! I thought I understood particles pretty well but, he really goes into detail with examples of when and how to use Japanese particles naturally and correctly. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher to anyone interested in Japanese, and would recommend this lesson for anyone who wants to better understand particles. Looking forward to the next lesson! ありがとうございます

今日は尊敬語と謙譲語について学びました。市販(しはん)の日本語の文法書では、尊敬語の作り方の一つとして「れる・られる」が紹介されていますが、今回のレッスンで、この形はあまり使われないということに気づきました。 また、「ご確認しました」よりも「確認いたしました」のほうが自然な表現だということも学べて、本当に勉強になりました。先生、次のレッスンもよろしくお願いいたします!

What an interesting session we had today. Even some of best regarded textbooks don’t always prepare you for the nuances of speech. Kudos to you Yoshi!
