We will base our discussions on a subject that we decide ahead of time. Whether it's something in the news, or on a podcast, or a TV show or something that interests you, we can start with that common basis. I try to speak slowly and clearly to be understood. I want you to appreciate and use proper grammar and pronunciation so, while I don't want to make you self-conscious, I want to offer gentle corrections while you get used to expressing your ideas in English.My lessons & teaching style
Let's talk. Talking is important in learning a new language, and listening is how you learn to talk. You hear someone talking in your language, and they are a model for how you want to sound.
I want to base my lessons on a topic that the student is interested in - news, fashion, movies, travel, entertainment. We will read, watch a video, listen to a podcast, talk to friends before our italki session. During our session, we'll have a fun, interesting discussion, and we'll be able to talk about another subject in great English! We will add new words to our English vocabulary.
As we talk, we will find out where we can improve your grammar and your pronunciation.My teaching material
