I'm Sarah. I've been teaching Italian and English for over 30 years, and I still enjoy every lesson. I trained formally as a teacher with a background in pedagogy, learning psychology and educational methodology. That means I don't just know the language: I know how people learn it, where they get stuck, and how to help them move forward. My lessons are calm, structured and built around you. I work with adults and young learners at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students preparing for official exams. Book a trial lesson. I believe mistakes are how you learn, and I've never once made a student feel embarrassed for getting something wrong. I use positive reinforcement as a conscious method. Progress happens when you feel safe enough to try, to repeat, to ask the same question twice. I create that space. After 30 years I can read a student quickly, I know when to push a little more and when to slow down.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons are built around you, your level, your goals, your reason for learning. I use textbooks alongside my own materials: audio dialogues, Italian songs, authentic texts for Italian; structured course books supplemented to target your specific gaps for English. Grammar gets explained when you need it, in plain terms. Each lesson has a clear focus. You'll always leave knowing what you worked on and why.
