Hello! I'm Tutor Chao, a Chinese teacher who loves exploring cultures. I’ve not only traveled all over China, but also visited countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. So I know China’s local customs well and have a solid grasp of cross-cultural communication. In my classes, you’ll get to know China’s many sides—not just the Great Wall!
I’ve worked with global learners, so I really get your needs. I’m great at helping with remembering Chinese characters and feeling more comfortable speaking.

I have a Master’s degree in Chinese culture, a top-level Mandarin certificate, and a professional teaching license. Over three years, I’ve taught students from more than 30 countries—helping them go from basic pronunciation to having smooth conversations! I’m good at using real-life situation lessons, the TPR method, and fun interactive activities in class.
I’ve also done cross-cultural teaching in the Singapore, Philippines and Inner Mongolia, volunteered to teach in communities that need extra support, and now I work at one of the best global Chinese learning platforms. 4 Chinese (Mandarin) lessons
I've had 3 classes with Chao so far and the classes are so useful. I'm working on improving my pronunciation. Chao is so patient, and can pinpoint exactly what my problems are. The reading & analysis workshops are a great opportunity to practise reading and recognising characters while targeting pronunciation issues at the same time. Hard work but really enjoyable!

Tutor Chao is a wonderful teacher. She prepares entertaining and interactive material, and then provides useful feedback after each lesson. I am a beginner but Tutor Chao adjusts the level of difficulty to be just right for me - I feel like I am making good progress and look forward to many more lessons!
