Baha

I wish I had met Baha years ago and received instruction with him, but it is what it is. There isn't much doubt, at least in my mind, that I would have been speaking this beautiful language and understanding the television shows I like to watch and having conversations with my Turkish acquaintances. His method of teaching makes sense as he mixes grammar, vocabulary and other nuances of the language that are impossible to learn from any textbook. When our lesson is completed, I find that I never want it to end; it goes by so quickly. Baha has definitely found his niche in life as a language instructor, and I feel so fortunate to have him teaching me Turkish.

Baha is a brilliant teacher as he combines his knowledge of history and culture of Turkey and speaks English like a native speaker enabling him to understand the way we think in English and avoid making mistakes as we think in English. He conveys the beauty of the language in sharing the history and etymology and is exceptionally patient and encouraging to bring out the best learning experience and promoting confidence in my progress. I am very impressed with his impeccable English for a Turkish teacher as I often had experiences with Turkish teachers who were unable to grasp the learning difficulties I had however Baha immediately understands how I think in English so is able to steer me in the right direction. I am looking forward to growing my Turkish vocabulary as he reinforces what I learn allowing me to practice and not be afraid to make mistakes as that is all part of learning as practice makes perfect. He teaches with confidence, so much patience and professionalism.

One of my favorite aspects of lessons with Baha is his incredible flexibility in teaching; he doesn't need to follow some rigid lesson plan in order to provide an immersive experience, which I believe shows immense experience and skill as a teacher. Additionally, he always tries to use minimal English. His lessons are quite affordable no matter where you're from and he often even answers questions outside of lessons. Another great aspect of lessons with him is his intelligence and erudition. We often speak about a great variety of topics, including history, culture, geography, etc. He knows the etymologies of quite a lot of words in Turkish, which is very helpful and makes lessons incredibly interesting. He is a very friendly guy and you may often feel like you're just hanging out with a friend during the lesson instead of receiving instruction. Contrary to what you might expect, you'll probably learn more from lessons like this than from, for example, a college course.

Baha is a great teacher! Good materials, well prepared and very friendly and helpful. I am a complete beginner, I never spoke a turkish word before, but after 3 lessons I feel confident to speak in the classroom and have a little chat with the turkish people who love in my neighbourhood. Baha is very experienced as a teacher, that 's for sure!

Excellent teacher. I wanted to learn some Turkish for an upcoming trip and Baha taught me the things I need to know to make my trip go well. Highly recommend him as a teacher.
