Hey, I’m Javi and here to be your Korean teaching buddy. As an economics and english literature major back in university but as of now more of Netflix binge watcher, unstoppable chatter and at-least-only-at-heart world traveler, I’m excited to help you with your Korean!
Me as a Teacher
It’s been more than 10 years since I started to help many of my foreign friends learn Korean, not to mention the culture itself. Just talk to me, anything gibberish is okay, and even welcome, build up your confidence and just have fun together!
My lessons & teaching style
1.From scratch
For beginners who need to start out of nothing
(Alphabet to Basics of Korean)
*Will give some basic rules of how to read and how to make letters and sentences. Give me as many questions as possible. I’m all ears!
2.Wanna talk
For intermediates who want conversation practice
*Confidence and Fluency, that’s what matters in conversation. You may make some minor grammar mistakes but just don’t care!
3.TOPIK 1&2
We start with the basic grammars and then take intensive mock tests. This is test-Korean so there're much more stuff to memorize than conversational-Korean but here I am to guide you on the right and quick path!

Class with Javi is an hour of fun. It's so relaxing and natural to speak with him because he has a great personality and is a good listener. He is patient and gives really good feedback and notes that I can review later to keep improving. Overall, I'm having a great time.

Javi speaks slowly and clearly which is great to learn. He is very easy to talk to, and his english is perfect in case anything needs to be translated. I really liked the class and would recommend!

I tried learning Korean from few other tutors and even though I learned sentences and words I didn't quite understand what I'm talking about or how to make a sentence that is not just memorised. That often made me feel overwhelmed.
With Jihun Kim I finnaly understood how to make a sentence in a just a few lessons. Now all memorised things make so much more sense.
Jihun will teach you Korean in proper order and it will be easy to understand. I'm very glad I found him and will for sure stick with him till I'm fluent.
Many thanks to him :)

Classes are always fun and enjoyable. Javi did a review on Sino numbers and Korean numbers. Also, we've learned about 을/를, 세요/ 주세요, 하고 and we created sentences using what I've learned in our classes.

Classes with Javi are always wonderful and fun.Today we reviewed the "Sino" numbers and continued our class with Native Korean counting numbers. After that, he explained about the object markers 을 / 를.
