Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you. 😊 My name is Sofia, and I’m a language tutor. I love teaching, literature, and learning new languages, which is why I’m studying English and Portuguese languages and literatures at university as part of a secondary school teacher training program. Since 2021, I’ve been teaching English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese to students of all ages. In addition to my literature degree, I am pursuing an online English teaching certificate from Arizona State University. I recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, which qualifies me to teach Business Portuguese as well. As a teacher, I believe in creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable to express themselves and take risks in their learning. I strive to adapt my teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual, focusing on building strong foundations in language skills while encouraging the development of the skills necessary for their specific learning goals. My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. I focus on creating a balance between speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, ensuring that students develop well-rounded language proficiency. I integrate a variety of materials, from textbooks to multimedia resources, to keep lessons dynamic and relevant.
