Hello, My name is Carlynne. I am 29 years old and a Native Afrikaans speaker from South Africa. I grew up speaking both Afrikaans and English in my household and I am therefore fluent in both languages. I have a BA degree in Development and Environment and a Postgraduate diploma in Environmental Management from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. I also have a 420 hour TEFL Advanced Diploma. My hobbies include singing, watching documentaries, playing sports and hiking with friends.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I take a student- centered approach to teaching a new language. I want to know what your language goals are and why you want to learn Afrikaans. I focus on teaching all 4 language skills namely: Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading. I use various teaching material to aid your language learning and to build your fluency step by step.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are relaxed, fun and interesting. Mistakes are always welcome in my class because it is through those mistakes that we learn and grow. So do not be afraid to make mistakes. I use a whiteboard to demonstrate grammar and vocabulary to make understanding Afrikaans easy.My teaching material
