I was born and raised in Russia and currently live in Spain, which helps me work effectively with international students. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Philology, a Master’s degree in Digital Humanities, and a PhD in Philology with a specialization in Russian Literature. I am also trained in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL). I enjoy reading, cinema, creative writing, and cats, but my greatest passion is teaching. I love helping students understand Russian in a clear, supportive, and engaging way, and I would be happy to help you reach your language goals. I have taught people of different ages and backgrounds, both at school and university levels. In addition, I have extensive experience teaching and researching Russian literature, and I often use literary texts as a tool for language learning. When creating the study plan, we’ll focus on your goals, interests, and level. I’ll choose materials that make our lessons dynamic, diverse, and truly effective. Ekaterina is a very friendly and patient teacher. I am a fan of Russian poetry and we work on a new poem every lesson. Her techniques and methods are very focused and effective. Ekaterina appropriately prepares the learning process for me in a PowerPoint presentation and she has a good intuition for which words and structures will be difficult.
