Cyril is one of the most organized, professional, thoughtful teachers I have ever had. I recently moved to Paris with only A2/B1 French, so I signed up for a few months of classes with him to help advance my language skills. I'm so glad I did. Every class consists of a great mix of conversation, oral comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, French culture, and slang. Cyril documents everything so that I have class notes I can refer back to later. There's often a little bit of homework — nothing onerous; just enough to reinforce what we've learned in class. Learning a language is a slow process, but I can already see degrees of improvement in the way I can better understand French podcasts and can pick out slang and other phrases I overhear from people on the street. As a professional teacher with years of experience, Cyril has the deep understanding of the language you want in an instructor. If you're serious about learning French, Cyril is the teacher for you.

Cyril is a friendly and professional teacher that will help boost your confidence in your French learning journey. In the first lesson, he did a level check, after which he gives you a general plan of what to expect for upcoming lessons. He utilizes Google Docs, so students are able to instantly obtain notes with new vocabulary, lesson points, and cultural insights. He encourages students to freely use and edit these notes from the lesson and has a student centered approach. There is a good balance of speaking opportunities, writing and reading my journal entries, and listening practice through short videos in French. Whenever necessary, he is able to give explanations in to me in English. I would highly recommend Cyril, as he has patiently helped build my French language skills and I have been able to speak to native speakers more and more.

I’ve been taking lessons with Cyril for more than six months now, my overall experience has been outstanding. Cyril is a highly skilled, reliable, patient and humorous teacher. His classes are well balanced, interesting, varied and relevant to the goals one wishes to achieve at all time. The classes focus not only on the grammatical elements of the French language but also on its evolution including street language and idioms. A further element that makes Cyril’s classes interesting and entertaining is the usage of various methods used to introduce you into the french culture, traditions and idiosyncrasies. I’d highly recommend Cyril’s classes to anyone wanting to make fast progresses in his learning.
