Hello, I'm Jules and I currently live in Istanbul. I've been teaching French for the last five years, following my graduation from Sciences Po where I earned a master’s degree in international relations and political science. Choosing Istanbul as my home allowed me to not only share my native language but also to immerse myself in Turkish culture and language, achieving fluency. My passion extends beyond languages to sports, books, and travel. I'm inherently curious and enjoy engaging in conversations on a wide range of topics.
Me as a Teacher
What I offer is unique: the expertise of a native French speaker combined with the accessibility and personal touch of a community teacher. My experience spans teaching students of all ages and guiding them through French language exams like DELF, DALF, and TEF with a track record of success.
Moreover, my experience in learning Turkish from scratch gives me a unique perspective in teaching it to others, especially to beginners and intermediate learners. I understand the challenges and intricacies of learning a new language firsthand, which makes me an empathetic and effective teacher in both English and French.
My lessons & teaching style
My teaching philosophy revolves around customization. I believe that each student has a unique learning path, and my role is to find and adapt to what works best for them. My classes are a blend of listening, reading, speaking, and writing activities, always infused with interesting and relevant content, often drawing from current events in both France and across the globe.
