Eni Tamang

Today was my Nepali lesson #28 with Eni-Guru. When we started a few weeks ago, I could not speak. She spoke to me in Nepali, explaining everything in Hindi whenever I signalled lack of understanding. During our first five lessons, I was just listening to her speaking Nepali, tuning my brain into the frequency of the language. Then, I started to put some words together. Now, we communicate entirely in Nepali, even though I still need much time to put words and grammar bits together to make my sentences. It's slow, but basically it seems to work. And this was exactly the purpose of this "Nepali intensive month", namely to break the barrier between the gaze at written words and real life spoken communication. धेरै धेरै धन्यवाद गुरुजी !!

just casually sat chatting in Nepali tonight with eni about our lives. I'm so happy with how far I have come with eni in just a few months. I still get things wrong but eni gives me the tools to chat in Nepali and makes every lesson a joy. I had a lunch with the guys I am going to nepal with today and they were asking me how to say things in Nepali and I got to impress them. eni also teaches me about nepal as a country and all about the culture there. 10/10

I've had several classes now with Eni and she is always helpful and understanding she is happy to go over things with me and teach and break down concepts when I don't understand. I thoroughly enjoy working with her and have many future classes booked with her. She uses conversation, videos and helpful tips to help me learn concepts. Thank you so much Eni for everything and being my regular teacher.

Eni Didi, Didi is an amazing teacher she is always welcoming and polite, she understands that I am a slow learner and because of my dyslexia it can take me longer to learn concepts. she is always helpful and willing to go the extra mile for me and is happy with whatever progress I can make, and is always willing to work around my busy schedule as a pharmacist. we have the best conversations during class and she has become one of my closest friends. I have been working with didi for 4 months now and can speak about my generic day at conversational level in Nepali. I have even impressed some of my Nepali colleagues in the hospital!! dhanyavad Didi. if anyone is looking for a patient, caring, inspiring teacher in Nepali I strongly recommend Eni!! xx
