Ciao! I’m Elisa, a TESOL/TEFL-certified English and Italian teacher with 10+ years of experience in helping non-native speakers achieve their language goals.
I specialize in helping adults (15+) master grammar, everyday conversation, and vocabulary—think idioms, phrasal verbs, and fluency boosts! My secret sauce? A multicultural background: I lived in the U.S. as an au pair, where I attended classes at Hobart University and Finger Lakes Community College, I speak Spanish (B1) and German (A2), and love weaving real-life contexts into lessons.

San Diego Voice and Accent - SDVA - 2023I studied American pronunciation, the IPA, how voice resonate in our mouth and how it is produced. My teacher was Julie Cunninghan founder of the San Diego Voice and Accent accademy. It's an online course in which you can level up your pronunciation skills.

Bachelor’s - ECONOMIA E GESTIONE AZIENDALEI studied Economics in order to become an accountant. I also had the chance to study both Business English and Spanish.
2008 - 2009
Bachelor’s - FOREIGN LANGUAGESI studied foreign languages in Verona for a whole year after have been in the USA as an au pair for six months. I studied both Spanish and English.

I’m learning Italian from scratch. I’ve already had 4 lessons with Elisa, one per week. She always prepares perfect materials for each lesson. During the lesson, she explains grammar very thoroughly, then we do exercises where I get immediate feedback. The exercises we don’t finish in class, I complete as homework, and Elisa corrects them remotely. It works absolutely great and motivates me to study during the week.

Grazie ad Elisa sto recuperando tutte quelle lacune che mi aveva causato la mia precedente insegnante e sono fiduciosa che questa volta il mio esame andrà alla grande! Nonostante non ci siamo viste per le due settimane delle vacanze natalizie, entrambe abbiamo visto piccoli, ma importanti miglioramenti e io stessa mi sento molto più sicura nel parlare inglese. Il che è importante, perché parlare di letteratura e storia non è affatto facile se non hai una base adeguata, ma se hai accanto la persona giusta, l'impegno viene davvero ripagato!
