Hi my name is Mary.
My aim is to help others love Irish the way I do!
I have a degree in Irish and English and am currently in my last year of Masters degree in Education to become a post-primary school teacher.Me as a Teacher
My main goal is to make students feel comfortable to challenge themselves but to also make mistakes! I have lots of experience teaching in schools, summer camps and one-to-one classes with students of different levels. I am currently teaching in a post-primary school.My lessons & teaching style
I try to incorporate as many different types of learning activities into all my lessons, as everyone learns differently! I understand how hard it can be learning new languages or even brushing up on what you already know. My aim is to give students a space to ask questions and request whatever help they need to learn. In between classes I usually set homework for all of my students. The type of work is based on the students needs, and I am always one text away if help is needed.My teaching material

Another excellent lesson with Mary - I really like the freely flowing style which she adopts with me as it makes conversation feel much more natural. She clearly understands how to direct a lesson to get the most out of her student in a friendly, relaxed and clear way. Go raibh mile maith agat!

It was wonderful to do a conversation practice in Irish with Mary again today. Our schedules did not work together for a couple of months, but now I am able to do conversation practice with her again regularly, which I am very happy about! The conversation was interesting and fun. Mary is kind and patient. I highly recommend her.

I am really enjoying my conversations with Mary as she really does know how to get the best from our sessions. Each conversation feels completely natural with Mary prompting or probing to help me expand my vocabulary in a very relevant way.
