Petra Lapanja

I really enjoyed my conversational lesson with Petra. She gave me space to practice speaking, and gently corrected my grammar when I made mistakes. For some sentences I had trouble saying, we dove deeper into the grammar of how to say them correctly. Thanks Petra!

During this conversation practice Petra and I talked about holidays in our different countries. Petra was very patient and caring, and struck a good balance between letting me speak and correcting my vocabulary or grammar when needed. Our conversations are definitely helping me improve my Slovene!

Thanks again Petra for a nice lesson! During our conversation I had trouble with the conditional tense, and Petra devoted the lesson to different ways to use this tense in conversation. I have a better understanding of this tense after the lesson, and feel more prepared to use it when speaking.

Great conversation practice with Petra. She struck a nice balance of correcting some of my grammar, but also letting the conversation flow. Petra also found some children's books from her local library that are appropriate for my level, and which we will use in future lessons. Petra is very positive and easy to communicate with. She was attentive to my needs and goals and made sure I wouldn't feel overwhelmed or intimidated. We agreed on our next moves and materials to use. I really appreciate Petra's readiness and desire to help me find the appropriate materials.
