She was really warm and polite, and time flew by. The class flows very naturally and she adapts quickly to my needs and level. The lesson felt very relaxed and enjoyable, and I felt comfortable speaking the whole time.

I had my first French lesson with Lia Chapin and it was a great experience. She was very patient, encouraged me to speak, and asked thoughtful questions that helped me practice. This was my first ever lesson on italki and I am so lucky to have chanced upon Lia. Lia is very patient and will let you finish your sentence before she corrects and responds to your answer. When I wasn't too clear, she guided and rephrased my wordings in simple French so that I could grasp the meaning without falling back on English. We used English only when we weren't clear, but 95% of the time, I was able to practice my spoken French. The lesson boosted my confidence in spoken French and I am looking forward to my next class with Lia. If you see this review, do give Lia's class a go!
