TEFL-certified American English teacher specializing in students who speak Portuguese Hello! Olá! My name is Stephen. I'm from the US. I love languages and I love to help people practice and improve their English skills. I enjoy chatting about art, music, nature, travel, science and technology, and much more. When I'm not giving lessons, I enjoy hiking and camping throughout in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and practicing samba and bossa nova on the piano. I have 20 years of experience in Marketing and Communication, and 2 years experience teaching English to Brazilians. I am also certified in the Portuguese language from the University of Lisbon. I adapt lessons to each students needs and goals, but my methodology typically focuses on daily comprehensible input supplemented with targeted grammar instruction, spaced repetition, and frequent conversation practice. Book a session today, and let's talk about your goals and put together a plan! Remember that making mistakes is part of the learning process, so don't worry if your English is still rough, that's what we're here to work on! 😊
