Hi! My name is Alexandra and I'm a musical performer. I love travel, films and good books. My passion for both language and musical comes from a very early obsession with Disney. My English is heavily influenced by the fact that I am a massive Potterhead and LOTR fan. You see where this is going - if you are a fellow nerd, you are in the right place.Me as a Teacher
I have taught singing and German before, both online and in person. I am very straight forward, giving explicit feedback is extremely important to me and I will never make you feel bad about your progress (or lack thereof, which is also okay). To me, there is no such thing as "wrong" - I like to label it as unanswered questions that need to be identified and - you guessed it - answered. I will let you choose your pace and I can also help you identify your goals as well as reach them. I appreciate honesty and constructive feedback from you as my student.My lessons & teaching style
My way of teaching is based on your needs. If you prefer having informal chats about your day and hobbies, that's what we will do. If you want specific information about grammar, syntax, semantics or help with phonetics, that's what you will get. I can make vocabulary tests based on your interests or help with your writing style, if that's what you prefer. We will play it by ear and try to find the best possible lesson style for you.My teaching material

Im Beifach studierte ich Anglistik (Linguistik), weshalb ich mich gut mit sprachrelevantem Inhalt auskenne.

Based on the previous lesson, Alex asked me to focus on a particular topic, recommended how (in my case it was to buy a (german) newspaper and read the politics section), and we spoke about what I learned in the following lesson - including grammar, words I didn't understand, as well as the subject and it's surroundings.
A pleasant and low-intensity way of learning relevant information, helpfully and constructively. Anything that was unclear, or needed explaining, was shared on the virtual whiteboard.
Very much recommended!
