ā ļøIMPORTANT NOTEā ļø: I do not teach students below the age of 18, or below an A2 level of French - please cancel your booking if that's the case. I also only offer package lessons AFTER we've had at least a few lessons together (so we first see if we are a good fit - we can then discuss it).
Salut/hello! š Iām Matt, Iāve been teaching French privately for many years now, and Iām looking forward to guide you through your own language learning journey!
A little about me: Iāve had quite an international upbringing and grew up in a few different countries (will you guess which ones?). I watch movies, read books and play video games ā so do share with me what you last watched/read or played š!Me as a Teacher
ā”ļø As a French tutor, my style can be described as fun, playful, and encouraging. I create an engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable and empowered to improve - I know learning languages can be tricky, but the key is to stay consistent and never give up!

I usually only leave public reviews after a month but Matt is the first tutor I decided to leave a public review for within 2 lessons. He is one of the best language tutors I have ever had for the following reason. I am an intermediate French speaker (around B1) and I recommend any intermediate speaker to sign up with him.
ā¢ Conversations flow with him and he is a great listener. So you wonāt have much problem if improving your conversation skills is your goal
ā¢ He is proficient in English (basically native level) so switching back and forth or overcoming confusions is never a problem
ā¢ His speed for providing and suggesting words is faster than with other tutors I have had
ā¢ He is encouraging, welcoming and has a bubbly personality which are very important under the stress of conversation classes
ā¢ He is focused on your errors and how to improve them which he showcases by through with you the new things you learned and your areas of weekends at the end of the class.
