Olá! I’m Lin, a passionate Portuguese teacher with over 5 years of experience. I love languages, and besides Portuguese, I also speak English, Spanish, Turkish, Persian and Dutch. Outside of teaching, I’m into movies, poetry, cooking, and conversations about life and philosophy.

Me as a Teacher

Every student is unique, and your lessons should be too. This is what I have learned in my years of language teaching. I design personalized lessons tailored to your goals, whether it’s speaking fluently, mastering grammar, or exploring Brazilian culture. I focus especially on conversational Portuguese to help you speak with clarity and confidence, be it colloquial or formal Portuguese. I’m also happy to dive into Brazilian literature, cinema, cooking vocabulary, or LGBTQ+ culture and slang, which are all topics that are part of my daily life and that I'd love to talk about.

My lessons & teaching style

Learning Portuguese should be exciting, not stressful. My classes are friendly, relaxed spaces where you can practice without fear or judgment. You’ll always be encouraged to share ideas and give feedback, so we can shape each lesson around what you love. Together, we’ll keep you motivated with recommendations of books, films, and fun resources to keep your progress going between sessions.
