About Me

I was born and raised in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. After graduating my studies at Japan Kanda Institute of Languages, I entered the Faculty of Cultural and Social Studies at Japan Tokai University. started my career as a Japanese language teacher because I wanted to share my knowledge of Japan with people from different cultures. At Kanda Institute of Languages, I taught Japanese to international students and foreigners as a volunteer. I had lived in Australia, so I can also offer Japanese lessons with English .
My classes are based on the motto of "fun and continuous learning," and I use English and quizzes.Me as a Teacher
I'm offering Japanese lesson in Online platform for one year and during my studies, I volunteered to teach Japanese to international students so I have confident to offer Japanese lesson for foreigners.
My strengths points are Japanese in academic, customer service and business situations.
I can offer courses in both English and Japanese. I try to be an instructor who can meet each student's goals.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are mainly conversation and can be correct Japanese pronunciation. Also I can offer Japanese grammar and fundamentals so I’m welcome anyone learning English from first.

Just for context, I booked a lesson on Italki to better improve my Japanese that I have been learning for about 2 and a half years. I had a trial lesson from Ryogo, I'll probably book another lesson again next week, he's very friendly, very thorough and very understanding. Just from the trial lesson alone, I actually learnt a couple new words and phrases, and a new grammar point that was new to me, something that textbooks never taught me but still seemed very useful. Whenever I didn't know something, or if there's a better way to rephrase something, he'll type it in chat, so that you can look back on it later, which I find extremely helpful. He also seems to have a structure in place too, which makes me think he'll probably find out what level I'm at and go from there. I'm definitely booking another lesson in the near future. Highly recommend Ryogo if you're looking for someone like what I just explained earlier.

Ryogo-san has a great energy and tailors your classes based on which aspect you want to improve. As someone looking to improve my conversational skills, he teaches me new expressions and helps solidify my speech. He is also very relaxed, and it feels like I'm talking to a Japanese friend who is a pro at teaching :D.
Ryogo-san is also just a fun person to talk to, which is important if you're looking for a conversation partner.

Ryogo-sensei is great! He makes the sessions fun and is very personalized when it comes to what he teaches. He created a restaurant scenario to practice with and it’s helped a lot with feeling more secure about my trip to Japan! I highly recommend taking lessons with Ryogo-sensei!
