Hello, I’m Aphiwe, but you can call me A.P. for short. I come from the lively and colorful city of Durban, South Africa, where the mix of cultures and languages has always fascinated me. Growing up in such a diverse environment sparked my love for language and communication, which eventually led me to become a certified TEFL tutor. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of helping students from all walks of life improve their English skills, whether they’re beginners taking their first steps or advanced learners refining their fluency. My expertise lies in pronunciation, accent reduction, and conversational fluency—areas I’m deeply passionate about improving student confidence in English.😎

Me as a Teacher

I am a very fun teacher I always give my students time to talk during the lesson for me to see where I could help them. I enjoy teaching by demonstration, because I try by all means to make sure both auditory and visual students get a better understanding of English. I enjoy talking to my students and helping them cope with whatever they need help with personally. I have once helped one of my students in a community organization to successfully prepare for a job interview. I have helped an English struggling student to to understand the basics of English and speak English more fluently than before.

My lessons & teaching style

I am always on time on my lessons. I am very punctual and I will never miss a lesson. I teach in ways to make students comfortable by giving them an opportunity to speak in the class and share their ideas. By teaching this way I could see the progress of my students and help them where they need to improve. I try by all means to make sure both auditory and visual students get a better understanding of English.
