Kaoru

Kaoru is incredibly kind and cheerful, creating a very friendly atmosphere and always having some topic to talk about on hand. She allows me the time to think when I need it and gives hints to help me articulate my thoughts. At the end of each lesson, she also provides a quick summary of the most important mistakes I made along the way and reserves time for any Japanese-related questions I might have. Highly recommended! ^^

What l like the most while having lessons with Kaoru Sensei is that l feel relaxed and comfortable speaking even with my very limited abilities (around N5). She really does a great job at matching the level of the conversation to what l can do with such a limited vocabulary and grammar and supports my clumsy efforts. This is exactly what l need, just practicing what l was learning so far without feeling too challenged. Until now l always felt somewhat stressed with other teachers l tried out. Now l am hopeful l can keep doing it regularly without feeling apprehensive about booking the next lesson:)

Kaoru-san is an excellent teacher who is fun, out-going, kind and patient. Even when I make mistakes she isn't someone who will laugh but encourages me to keep going. I feel very comfortable speaking in Japanese and most importantly making mistakes in Japanese with her. She has many fun and interesting interests and hobbies so it's easy for speak about literally everything. She makes learning Japanese really fun and I look forward to my lessons weekly. I do feel like I am improving so much, since I have started learning from her and I am so grateful for that as I have wasted years not progressing in Japanese.

Kaoru-sensei was wonderful! So much fun to talk to, so patient and attentive, and very smart. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a good teacher!
