Leo is a patient, dedicated, and disciplined teacher. He stays on topic and paces the class well, while also not rushing me while I rewrite sentences or hanzi. After each writing class my understanding of Chinese grammar improves. I recommend trying one of his writing classes.

I would warmly recommend Leo as a teacher, as he patiently explains, repeats and finds other ways to say things, until I get it. My level is HSK 4, so I appreciate reading small authentic texts, which makes a change from textbooks. It's helpful that the lesson is always in Mandarin, and we only translate a word into English when really necessary. Leo is genuinely interested in his students' progress and the lessons are fun.
