Hello! I’m Augustine, a Communication Studies and Mass Media Specialist with a big passion for languages and teaching in non-traditional ways. I—and like many people who have experience in the field—believe everybody has a unique way to learn and absorb language. While traditional classes tend to put everybody in the same box, thus building learning environments that can be unfavorable to some students, my main mission is to offer a learning experience tailored around the wants and needs of every student.Me as a Teacher
My formation in Communication Studies, in which we pay close attention to linguistic matters such as semiotics and the way we construct our world through language, works just like a charm when explaining a foreign language to someone who is not familiar with it. In addition to this, my own experience learning foreign languages works as a point of reference when it comes to empathizing with students. Empathy is important when attempting to transfer language to someone.My lessons & teaching style
Even though I'm currently not aiming to licensing as a traditional language teacher (a fact I always highlight to my students so they can have an honest and real image of my formation), my ability when it comes to adapting to different learning styles, along with cultural fluency I've developed throughout experiences abroad, work together as a fantastic tool for language teaching. It doesn't matter if you need full-conversational sessions to practice real use of the English language or pronunciation, or a more book-based English learning class. I am open to offer my services to everyone, always having the focal point in offering a learning experience tailored around my student's goals.My teaching material
