Giulia

I'm writing this second review for Giulia by way of follow-up to my June comments about her helping me with preparation for the CILS C2 exam. Well, I passed the test! Thanks so much for your great work, Giulia...your assistance was invaluable!

Great lesson with Giulia! We learned the vocabulary about family members. We also learned about reflexive verbs and did a listening exercise. Giulia noticed a mistake I was making with personal pronouns and reviewed the rules so that I understood, which was very helpful!

Great lesson with Giulia! We continued reviewing the verb tenses, and Giulia had me tell stories in the past and future. We identified some mistakes that I made, which will help in preventing mistakes in the future. Giulia is really motivated to help me improve, and is very creative in coming up with things to do in class!

I strongly recommend Giulia for thoughtful, targeted lessons and test prep. I've had several tutors on italki for several languages. Generally, I find the most affordable teachers for informal speaking practice. This time, practicing for an Italian CILS exam, I was willing to pay a little more for more structured prep - Giulia's enthusiasm and professionalism justify that higher price point and then some. She takes organized notes, gives contextual feedback, and has a whole toolbox of methods to apply based on your specific goals. For personalized tutoring, you can't go wrong with Giulia.

Great lesson with Giulia! We spent the lesson talking about artificial intelligence, which is something that's interested me for a while. Giulia had an article about AI that we read and questions about it that we discussed. It was fun to talk about, and Giulia helped me out when I didn't know how to say something in Italian. Giulia is creative coming up with ways to get me "out of the comfort zone" to improve my speaking!
