Hi. My name is Melody. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I finished an accounting degree and worked in the accounting department of various companies. I was also a call center agent for more than two years before becoming a customer service staff. I'm a fur mom of a 15-year-old dog. I love planting vegetables, reading online articles, listening to mellow music, watching movies, and sipping a hot cup of coffee even on hot, summer days. I teach English to Japanese students during my free time and now I would like to teach my native language, Tagalog.Me as a Teacher
As a tutor, my goals are to make the student comfortable with me as his or her tutor and make sure that the student learns many things during my class. I ask questions to determine whether the student understood the lesson or not.My lessons & teaching style
As an English tutor since 2015, I try to adapt my teaching style to my students. It is important to assess the student's personality, knowing his or her lesson request, and the student's background like country or culture. I try to do small talk and build rapport at times especially during the first one to two minutes so the lesson flow would be smooth.My teaching material
