Certified Turkish teacher with a master's degree in teaching Turkish as a foreign language Merhaba! My name is Donia. I grew up in the vibrant city of Cairo and now I live in Istanbul—another lively, crowded place full of energy and stories. I studied Turkish language during my bachelor’s degree, and later continued with a master’s in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. Throughout my studies, I gave one-on-one online lessons in both Turkish and Arabic to students from different backgrounds. Teaching them brought so much meaning and joy to my life, and I’m grateful for the connections we built. The hardest part of this journey has always been saying goodbye—when students reach their language goals and it’s time for them to move on. But those goodbyes are full of pride. I consider myself a patient and supportive teacher who believes in making learning enjoyable and effective. I also believe that a relaxed and supportive atmosphere is crucial, so I make sure my students feel comfortable and never judged for making mistakes. I use a clear and systematic approach in my lessons. Most of the time, I follow the Yedi İklim Türkçe book, which is well-organized and designed for foreign learners. It builds up grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and speaking step by step. I also prepare my own materials depends on the learners needs and goal.
