With several years of teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping students from diverse backgrounds achieve their language goals—whether it’s mastering everyday conversations, preparing for exams, or gaining confidence in speaking. I also helped war refugees to become fluent in Serbian by guiding them through customised lessons, real-life practice, and cultural immersion techniques. This experience taught me how to adapt my methods to suit individual learning styles and needs, ensuring every student has a rewarding and enjoyable learning journey. My teaching style is out of the books. I put big importance on speaking since the most important thing in any language is to understand and be understood! I enjoyed my first lesson with Angelina. We started the class with a short chat in Serbian and then she explained her teaching philosophy and gave real examples of class topics and materials. It gave me a good idea of what I could expect and how I could improve in the language. I felt it was a very comprehensive plan and an exciting one too. I hope to make progress and learn more about the Serbian language, culture, and people.
