Today we had another wonderful discussion on Korean postwar political history based on a journal article written in Korean! Again it took several days for me to finish the article but it was a rewarding experience. I always enjoy talking with Hyeongyong sseam, which is always patient, attentive and helpful. Look forward to our next one! 😄👍🏻

Another great discussion session on modern Korean history. I’m glad that with sseam’s guidance and patience I feel I’ve gone even deeper in my argumentation this time. Look forward to the next one!

Hyeongyoung's lessons are fantastic! I've had so much fun in her Korean Through Stories and Media lessons. She's kind, patient, and easy to talk to. I appreciate that she writes detailed feedback after each lesson so I can better understand the grammar and vocab I made mistakes with. Highly recommend!

Today’s lesson was wonderful as always! We started with the recent movies in Korea and then went on to discuss the journal article about the 4.3 Incident in Jeju. It’s a long article with a lot of academic terms but sseam helped me a lot with her explanation. I feel so glad that I was able to engage in a conversation like I would in a Korean university seminar. Of course still a long way to go to achieve true proficiency but I’m sure with time I could reach that goal slowly, step by step.

Today we had another great discussion based on an academic journal article in Korean about the history of 1950s. It was an informative but challenging read but with sseam’s help it all becomes much clearer. I particularly appreciate sseam’s efforts to come up with a set of class notes after class each time. Thank you so much!
