Learning a language should be fun! Hello! I'm Maria, a professional language teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching French, English, and Russian. I was born in Moscow to a Russian-Ukrainian family, grew up in Kenya and Switzerland (Geneva), and now live in Spain. My multicultural background has shaped both my passion for languages and my teaching approach. I also speak Spanish and Catalan. I am currently completing my PhD in Human Cognition and Evolution at the University of the Balearic Islands, where I also teach undergraduate courses. My research focuses on gender, migration, intercultural communication, and gender equality. I hold a DAEFLE qualification (Alliance Française), a Bachelor's degree in Humanities, a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) from the University of Nottingham, and a TEFL qualification. Every lesson is tailored to your goals, interests, and learning style. I use a communicative approach and authentic materials such as articles, videos, podcasts, and books to make learning practical, engaging, and enjoyable.
