I was born in Moscow (I am Russian-Ukranian) and grew up in Kenya and Switzerland (Geneva). I currently live in Spain. I teach French, English and Russian.
I also speak Spanish and Catalan.
Currently I'm a PhD candidate in Human Cognition and Evolution.
I love teaching, travelling, discovering new cultures and my 8 cats and 5 dogs :).
I am a professional French, English and Russian teacher, I have a DAEFLE qualification (teaching French as a foreign language) from the Alliance Française, a Bachelor in Humanities, a PGCE and a TEFL.
I have been teaching since 2010.
I love teaching online because this gives me the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world and share my knowledge with them. My lessons are always fun, interactive and tailor-made. For online classes I only work with adult learners or teenagers. I also offer academic support for English and French.
All my lessons are tailor-made depending on the students goals. I use interactive materials, books, videos, recordings, etc. I use the communicative approach, mostly speaking in the target language during the lessons. Highly recommended. I had a very enjoyable, interesting and productive introductory lesson with Maria. She quickly ascertained when I needed help and provided some interesting reading exercises for the next lesson perfectly matching my interests. During the lesson she took excellent notes correcting all the mistakes I made.
