Hey, I'm Rui! I was born and raised in Porto, Portugal (one of the most beautiful cities in the world!).
After graduating college I decided to move to Germany, take a little break, learn some german and start a new degree. I'm currently halfway through my degree in International Business in a city near Berlin, with classes in german and english, and spanish as a foreign language. I really love learning languages and getting to know people from different countries.Me as a Teacher
First, I would like to hear from you! Where you're from, what topics particularly interest you and what your goals are regarding language learning. Since I'm not a professional teacher, I'm not gonna be able to provide you with materials such workbooks, PDF files, etc. You can always send me a video or a text the day before a lesson so that we can study it.My lessons & teaching style
I would prefer to help intermediate and advanced students, BUT if you're a beginner or pre-intermediate we can practice speaking too, with role play (portuguese at the restaurant, at the airport, etc.) and some explanations in english/german if needed.
I can also help you with reading, correct your pronunciation and explain the meaning of unknown words and how to use it in a difference sentence. If you have any questions related to grammar or if I see that you are always doing the same grammar mistake, I'll find some material and explain it to you!
If you wish to write something for homework, that's great! We can always check it together during the lesson.

So far I had one lesson with Rui. He was punctually and very well prepared. Throughout the lesson he wrote down and corrected my mistakes and we had a fun conversation about many different topics. Rui is a very polite and calm person and it's easy to speak Portuguese with him without being embarrassed to make mistakes. He also taught me a few Portuguese sayings which is awesome for when you really want to get to know Portuguese culture and how people there speak in their day-to-day lives.
I highly recommend to have Portuguese lessons with Rui!
