João is an excellent Portuguese teacher—patient, friendly, and very professional. His lessons are always well-structured and tailored to my needs, with a perfect balance between grammar, vocabulary, and real conversation practice. He explains everything clearly, makes learning enjoyable, and creates a comfortable atmosphere where I feel confident to speak and improve. Since starting with João, my Portuguese has progressed a lot, and I always look forward to our lessons.

He is an interesting instructor. We have nice discussions every time.

João is a great teacher. He's very patient and helps me improve my grammar with his corrections. My Portuguese oral comprehension is improving because he talks to me about a variety of topics. He's very knowledgeable about public health and science and I would highly recommend him!!

I really appreciate Joao for his willingness to go above and beyond in our classes; he doesn’t want to end a class until he knows that the student feels good with all points discussed during the class- I never leave a class feeling confused or feeling like I didn’t get something resolved within the context of my learning - instead I leave the class with a very clear idea of what I’m doing right versus what I need to work on. Having a teacher that can create this level of comfort ability is priceless !
