Hi everyone
I am Marina and I have a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Teaching foreign languages.
I've been teaching Norwegian since 2008 and I have a passion for Scandinavian culture, its languages, hygge and lifestyle.
I believe that creativity is the key to a balanced life—a concept I live out through my interests in yoga, painting, cooking and reading.
In my free time I like being outdoors taking on a hiking or cycling adventure or going snowboarding in the mountains.Me as a Teacher
My current teaching style most closely aligns with the communicative approach because I believe that the main purpose of learning any foreign language is the use of language for meaningful communication and being able to get to know people all over the world through language, culture, books, cuisine, etc.
In my classroom I always try to foster my students to speak as much as possible providing them with authentic materials and creating real-life situations for discussions.My lessons & teaching style
I try to create a friendly and relaxed environment in my classroom so that the students feel free to speak a foreign language without fear and stay motivated over the time.
I like the idea of using authentic books, pictures and other creative techniques that could spark an inspiration to learn a language and motivate students to use it in different ways.
I definitely can use different articles, podcasts, pieces of music, pictures and posters in my classroom to encourage students being spontaneous and creative.My teaching material
