I am a Japanese teacher with 20 years of experience.
I run a private tutoring school where I teach many students one by one.
I have worked with children who have overseas backgrounds, helping them learn Japanese in a way that fits their needs.
I also have experience teaching children with learning difficulties, and I am comfortable supporting their learning.
My lessons are easy to understand and fun, because I believe enjoying learning is very important.
I try my best to help every student improve their Japanese skills step by step.

Mayumi is really a good teacher. She is so patient and helpful. My daughter has just come to Japan and couldn't say a word. She is helping her with daily words and useful expressions in school. She even bought the textbook to support her. She is well prepared for every class. We are so thankful for her.

I LOVE learning w Mayumi Sensai! As a beginner, she makes me feel very comfortable even though I’m going into this not knowing much. I also enjoy our little side conversations in which Mayumi will teach me specific words used in our conversation and translate them in Japanese! Highly recommend Mayumi Sensai if you’re a beginner in learning Japanese :)!

My mommy and I really enjoy this teacher! She's patient and beyond sweet! I love taking her classes and she makes sure that I pronounce what I'm learning correctly. My mom and I love that she reviews over what I have learned and still teaches new material after we do our review. So all of the material that she teaches me sticks. I review and practice the material that she provides me throughout the week as well before my next class. She is a wonderful teacher and she's a native to Japan!
