Another 5-star class with Mwalimu Grace! I loved it. Today we read a story in Swahili and discussed it afterwards in Swahili. This helped me apply what I have learned and allowed me to practice noun class agreement and use verbs that I don’t usually use. Mwalimu Grace is very patient, encouraging, and kind and I definitely recommend her. Asante sana kwa darasa letu la leo! Nashukuru sana msaada wako.

I had another delightful conversation class in Swahili only with Mwalimu Grace and I loved it! I felt very comfortable speaking in Swahili only with her even though sometimes I didn't know how to say certain things. She guided me through the formulation of certain sentence structures and made sure that I was making the correct noun class agreements. She also provided a plan for our next meeting. I'm very much looking forward to my next conversation class in Swahili with her. Asante sana kwa darasa la leo, Mwalimu Grace!

Had a great lesson with Mwalimu Grace today. We started off by reviewing some material from the last lesson. We then dove into a challenging article about people helping the disabled in creative ways. Mwl. Grace was very patient in helping me to understand the meaning of the sentences, which was difficult to grasp without taking context into account. Looking forward to learning more next time!

Had a great lesson with Mwalimu Grace today. As usual, we started off with some small talk about the weather and recent things in our lives. We then continued reading an article. There were many tricky words and phrases that Mwl. Grace helped clarify with examples. It really helps that she explains difficult things using simpler Swahili instead of resorting to English every time. She even went a few minutes over time to ensure we finished a section of reading.

Had a great lesson with Mwalimu Grace today. She had prepared some materials for the topic I requested: the 'ku' noun class. She provided background on noun classes and then dove into the specifics of the 'ku' noun class, with examples. It was very helpful. We then continued with a challenging BBC Swahili article. She is great at helping me understand tricky sentences and word usage.

What a wonderful first lesson with Mwalimu Grace, I loved it! Before meeting I had asked her if it was okay if she could speak to me only in Swahili and she was so kind to do so. She spoke very clearly and slowly so that I could follow the conversation. She was very professional, punctual, kind and encouraging and immediately made me feel comfortable in the class. She also kept a written list of all of the vocabulary words I was struggling with so that I could follow. I would love to book another class with her and I would definitely recommend her to others.
