Hi! I’m Kaia, a native Korean speaker who has lived in both Korea and Canada. Living in two cultures has shaped the way I see languages. not just as tools, but as bridges between people. I love traveling and connecting with people from different backgrounds, and language learning has always been one of my personal hobbies. Because I’ve studied Spanish myself, I know first hand how exciting and sometimes frustrating the process can be.
안녕하세요! 저는 카야에요 :) 한국에서 태어나 자랐고, 현재는 캐나다에서 살고 있는 원어민 한국인입니다. 여러 나라에서 살아본 경험은 저에게 언어란 단순한 소통의 도구를 넘어 사람과 사람을 이어주는 다리라는것을 가르쳐주었어요. 여행과 새로운 만남을 좋아하고, 개인적으로도 언어 배우는 것을 취미로 삼고 있습니다. 저 역시 스페인어를 공부한 경험이 있어서, 언어 학습이 얼마나 즐겁고 때로는 어려운 과정인지 잘 알고 있습니다.Me as a Teacher
My teaching journey started when I worked as an English teacher in Korea. It taught me the importance of patience, encouragement, and adapting to each learner’s style. I’m not only here to correct mistakes, but also to guide you in discovering your own rhythm in Korean. I want my students to feel supported, relaxed, and motivated throughout their learning journey.
저는 한국에서 영어 선생님으로 일한 경험이 있습니다. 인내심과 격려, 그리고 각 학생의 스타일에 맞춘 방식을 선택하는것이 가장 중요하다고 생각해요. 단순히 틀린 부분을 고쳐주는 것을 넘어, 학생들이 한국어에서 자신만의 리듬을 찾을 수 있도록 돕고자 합니다. 언제나 편안하면서도 동기 부여가 되는 수업 환경을 만들고 싶습니다. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are highly interactive and communication-focused. We’ll practice speaking from day one, but in a way that feels natural and fun. I often bring in creative activities: role-plays based on daily life, discussions about culture, or describing pictures to expand vocabulary. For those who enjoy writing, I provide diary corrections so you can learn to express your thoughts clearly. If you prefer structure, we can also integrate textbooks or personalized materials.
Ultimately, my goal is to help you "use" Korean, not just study it, so that you can confidently connect with people in real situations.My teaching material

I had a great first lesson with Kaia. She identified my goals and needs, and developed a plan personalized for me.
She is friendly and easy to talk to, I was a little nervous and anxious since I don't have a lot of experience talking to native Koreans, but she made me feel comfortable.
