Hi! I’m Sydney, an English tutor who has lived in both Korea and the United States, so I understand what it’s like to learn and navigate different languages and cultures. I studied neuroscience in college and minored in Spanish. I have experience working with primary and secondary school students, especially helping children from non-English-speaking backgrounds improve their English, as well as tutoring subjects like chemistry, organic chemistry, and standardized test preparation. I’m passionate about language learning and enjoy helping students build confidence and feel comfortable using English in real-life situations. I always aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

As a teacher, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and building confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, whether that’s improving conversation skills, expanding vocabulary, or strengthening grammar. I like to make lessons practical and engaging, using real-life situations and clear explanations to help students understand and apply what they learn. My goal is to help you feel more confident using English naturally in everyday contexts.
