Lessons with me are all about you. For informal lessons, we choose a discussion topic and see where it takes us. During conversations I correct pronunciation, introduce new words and suggest varied sentence patterns. For more structured lessons, I first determine what you want to learn and your current skill level then systematically build up your skills, including for interviews, narratives, and essays.My teaching material

My teenage son started studying with Joan because we were looking for a teacher who could help him not only with English practice but also with correct sentence structure, general speech, and developing clear, expressive thinking.
After the first few lessons, it became clear that Joan could offer even more. My son really liked the warm energy and atmosphere of the classes; he was so enthusiastic about the lessons that I realized I needed the same for myself!
I started studying with Joan, and over the course of our meetings, I have grown to love the structure she provides. It helps me both in developing my English and in my career. For each lesson, I write a text about myself or a professional topic for my LinkedIn profile. During the lesson, Joan and I discuss it together to check whether everything sounds natural and understandable for native speakers.
I get a lot of pleasure from each lesson and am sure they are very beneficial.
