๐ Hello! My name is Genie and I was born in Korea but migrated to Australia many years ago living in Sydney. Itโs a pleasure to meet you all! ๐
๐ I am an ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses For Overseas Students) teacher in Sydney, Australia.
๐ Iโve always had a deep curiosity for languages and I was fluent in Japanese passing the second level in the Japanese Ability test. Iโve also been learning Spanish for a while and I can speak it quite fluently!
๐ I love languages, hiking, cooking, Latin dancing, playing tennis, science, animals, Kimchi making, kefir making, film & TV series, and exploring great restaurants to enjoy delicious international dishes.Me as a Teacher
๐ฟ An ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses For Overseas Students) teacher with a CELTA qualification.
๐ฟ Experience in teaching Korean as well as English to the native Spanish speakers during language exchanges with them for more than 4 years.
๐ฟ Experience in teaching Korean to Australians who are learning it through a Meetup group for around 15 years.
๐ฟ Volunteering as an English tutor to the refugees and migrants in Australia.
๐ฟ My students say I am patient and caring as well as empathetic so my lessons give them a space where they feel comfortable with the language.

๐ฏ My lessons focus on speaking but I also help with vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening and writing depending on your Korean level, interests, motivation and preferred learning methods.
๐ฏ Language learning involves not only the language itself but also the culture, the food and much more so you will be introduced to histories, back stories or hidden facts about the language, the culture and the food of Korea.
๐ฏ A wide variety of lesson materials will be incorporated to maintain your engagement and motivation.
๐ฏ Homework will be provided to speed up your learning pace (vocabulary, writing diary and more) but itโs optional.
๐ฏ Detailed written feedback will be provided regularly.My teaching material
