Learn with an Italian polyglot! :) Hi! I’m Linda, an Italian teacher from the Venetian Lagoon, in northern Italy. 🇮🇹 I hold a Master’s degree in Modern, Postcolonial and Comparative Literatures and Gender Studies from the University of Bologna, where I previously earned my Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, specializing in English and French. I have been teaching Italian, English and French privately for around 11 years, working with students of different ages, levels, and cultural backgrounds. My lessons are therefore never one-size-fits-all: I like to listen carefully to the person in front of me and adapt to their needs with patience. I place a strong emphasis on grammar because I like giving my students a clear understanding of how the language works, which I believe helps them feel more confident. At the same time, I make plenty of room for conversation, because I believe that active listening and practice, even with mistakes, are extremely effective in language learning. In fact, I consider mistakes to be essential for progress! I am a culture geek and love bringing culture into my lessons, whether we are exploring Italian traditions, dialects, folklore, everyday expressions and food, or discovering aspects of English-speaking cultures through literature, history, language and everyday life. Whether you are starting from scratch, looking to become more confident speaking, or simply curious to explore a new language and culture, I’d be happy to work with you! :)
