我專門教香港人德文 German conversation practice for Hongkongers! I am a passionate language learner myself. I have been self-learning Cantonese for about 5 years and lived in Hong Kong during my Computer Science Master's at HKU. Throughout my language learning journey, I have tried and optimized many different learning techniques, which I am glad to share with you! I love to talk about food, culture, sports, travel or technology. In my free time I like doing outdoor sports such as climbing and hiking as well as cooking. I have experience teaching German to international students at the University. The lessons are casual, yet effective and tailored to your interests and goals. I promise that apart from learning a minimum of 10 useful phrases per session, you will also have lot's of fun and increase your confidence in speaking! I believe that having fluent conversations is the most rewarding thing about learning a new language. That's why my lessons focus on conversational fluency and I try to make the students confident in listening comprehension and oral expressions. Every lesson we will talk about a topic that is relevant to the student and identify key phrases. Through those phrases, we will learn new vocabulary and grammar. To further improve reading comprehension, pronunciation and to memorize the new phrases, students will revise at home using appropriate texts containing the key phrases in a different context. For visual learners, I like to work with pictures during the sessions.

Jonas is very patient (while I slowly work out the complicated German sentence structure), and I'm always learning a lot of useful words and phrases that he write down in a shared Google doc. Also, it's very, very rare to find a native German speaker and tutor who is interested in Cantonese and could also speak Cantonese. While it's not a requirement I look for in German tutors, being able to use Cantonese with Jonas has made German classes a lot more fun and engaging :))
