English tutor for all ages and levels I’m an English tutor currently residing in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I’ve taught in the American public school system for 5 years and to university aged adults for 10 years. I enjoy teaching English as a second language because my students and I have felt a great sense of accomplishment in helping to achieve their academic and professional goals. Not only that, I love speaking with people from all over the world and learning about different cultures. We can work together to discover the best resources to use as a basis of our lessons, and we will pursue achievable goals in a realistic time frame. Our discussions will be based on topics that are useful for you and any new vocabulary would be introduced with loads of context and meaning. Lastly, I teach idiomatic and colloquial phrases that are essential to having a more native like fluency. I generally like to start with casual conversation. Then we can focus on a particular news article or video, especially the vocabulary and meaning. I ask lots of questions but also give lots of feedback on word usage, sentence structure, pronunciation and grammar.
