Hi! I’m Alena - a Russian native speaker based in Italy. I’m currently studying how to teach Russian as a foreign language at the University of Bologna. I truly enjoy learning about different cultures and connecting with people through language. Right now I speak English and Italian, and I’m planning to learn German and Korean next!

Me as a Teacher

As a community tutor with a background in linguistics, I love helping people feel confident speaking Russian. Since I’m also a language learner, I understand the challenges that come with it - and I try to create a relaxed, open space where students can practice without pressure. I'm here to support and guide you, no matter your level!

My lessons & teaching style

I focus on creating a supportive environment where you can feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. I believe that language learning should be enjoyable, so I use interesting and authentic materials - articles, videos, short dialogues, or even TikToks - to help you learn naturally.
