Sangho Lee

I had a great time in todays lesson with Sangho. We started with a conversation where he introduced helpful words that I've never heard before. Then we discussed some writing mine, where he showed me more natural ways to phrase my sentences. Lastly he explained some grammar and slang that I had found online. Sangho's an awesome teacher and I love having class with him!

Great trial lesson. I was asked about my goals and my motivations for learning Korean. We set 3 month goals and I was able to be introduced to the alphabet. The trial lesson made me confident that I have chosen the right tutor to learn Korean.

It was a good first lesson. Got enough time to explore my current skill level and also set goals for the upcoming lesson. Looking forward to the next lessons.

Es war meine erste Stunde mit Sangho und ich war am Anfang ziemlich aufgeregt. Nach ein paar Minuten fühlte ich mich jedoch, als würde ich mit einem Freund sprechen. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm. Sangho ist ein geduldiger und einfühlsamer Lehrer, welcher sehr schnell auf die Bedürfnisse des Schülers reagiert. Wenn ich etwas nicht verstanden habe, wählte Sangho andere Worte und versuchte es mir noch einmal zu erklären. Dies war sehr hilfreich. Auch meine Versuche ins Englische zu wechseln hat Sangho sehr gut gemanaged und lenkte das Gespräch so, dass wir die meiste Zeit koreanisch gesprochen haben. Ich habe am Ende der Stunde ein ermutigendes Feedback, eine Datei mit den gelernten Inhalten und eine Hausaufgabe bekommen. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf unsere nächste Stunde.

Today’s trial class with Sangho was exhilarating. His smile is infectious, and he’s not only kind but also knowledgeable, able to break down concepts to help me understand. The first half of class was focused on self-intros. We spoke about shared hobbies, life experiences, where we live, and more. He spoke at my level while still introducing new vocabulary I wasn’t familiar with; extremely helpful. Thanks to him, I felt at ease and comfortable, even when making mistakes. During the second half, we reviewed some writing I had prepared before class. He explained his corrections clearly and shared helpful YouTube videos to show how Koreans use certain expressions. We also explored some slang and grammar I had questions about. It was fun, and we shared a great laugh because of it. He ended the session by telling me what I can look forward to in upcoming classes and gave me an assignment thoughtfully tailored to my interests. Definitely take classes with Sangho. You won’t regret it! ^^
